No religion is greater than humanity, this is what he always said and practiced. The man of poor, who was not just the founder of world's largest ambulance network, but was also counted among world's greatest humanitarians. But, he had to go, he had to meet the Almighty and make us feel the space that no one ever can occupy in near future.

Such a great soul that he even donated his organs including his eyes, and what wonder that two blinds got their eyesight with the eyes of Abdul Sattar Edhi. He was known as Angel of Mercy and was considered Pakistan's 'most respected' and legendary figure. In 2013, The Huffington Post said that he might be 'the world's greatest living humanitarian.'

Born on 1 January 1928, he left us on 8 July 2016 due to Kidney Failure. State honour was given to Edhi by guard of honour and 19-gun-salute. Chief of Army Staff among other dignitaries including chiefs of Pakistan Navy and Pakistan Air Force participated in funeral prayers of Edhi at National Stadium Karachi.

Social media responded with prayers and gratitude towards Edhi's services for mankind. Many artists drew murals and paintings as a tribute to Abdul Sattar Edhi. Some of them are shown below to warm our hearts.
