The Punjab government has announced a new opportunity for students. The CM Punjab Laptop Scheme 2025 is now open for applications. Under this program, 110,000 brand-new Generation 13, Core i7 laptops will be given to deserving students.

The announcement was made by the Provincial Minister for Education. He shared that the scheme is designed to support talented students across Punjab. Students can now apply through the official Punjab Higher Education Department website.
Who can apply for the CM Punjab Laptop Scheme 2025?
The scheme is mainly for students who have finished their matriculation or intermediate education. It is also open to BS students studying in public sector colleges and universities. Students must be in their first or second semester to qualify.
There is a special quota for minority students as well. Out of the total laptops, 2,000 are reserved for students from minority backgrounds.
To apply, students must have:
- At least 65% marks in intermediate for regular BS programs
- At least 80% marks in intermediate for medical and dental students
- Domicile from any district in Punjab
- Not received a laptop from any previous government program
How will the laptops be distributed?
- 20,000 laptops for university students
- 14,000 laptops for college students
- 4,000 laptops for students in technical and agricultural colleges
- 2,000 laptops for medical and dental students
A major focus has been placed on students from South Punjab. About 32% of the laptops will be given to students from this region.
How to register for the laptop scheme?
The registration process is simple. Students need to apply online through the portal advertised by the Punjab Higher Education Department. Within just a few hours of the portal opening, more than 34,000 students had already submitted their applications. This shows the high interest in the program.
Students should make sure to submit accurate information and complete all required fields when filling out the form.
When will the laptops be handed over
Distribution of the laptops is expected to start soon after Ramadan 2025. The first shipments have already arrived in Pakistan. Ceremonies will be organized in different cities to hand over the laptops to the selected students. The distribution will also be part of the Honhaar scholarship programme.
Students are encouraged to apply as early as possible because the number of laptops is limited.
